I’ll make NPP election winning machine-Sammi Awuku

Ghana News–The easy going national organizer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has promised to make the party a robust election winning machine when elected in the upcoming national polls.

Addressing scores of delegates from Ashanti at separate functions during his scheduled three day tour of the ancient region, Mr Awuku reiterated his commitment to resourcing the party’s organizers from the polling station to the regional levels.

This, he noted will enable the organizers plan and plot workable strategies for the party in the upcoming general elections in 2020 and subsequent ones.

Commending the party’s organizers for the dedication and commitment they showed in 2016 which culminated in the party’s famous victory, Mr Awuku assured the organizers of better support this year.

‘’We won the 2016 elections because you chose to work with all that you had at your disposal and am determined to resource you even better knowing that elections are won at the grass-root levels’’, Mr Awuku promised.

VISION:

Enumerating his plans for the party’s organizers, Mr Awuku said the surest way to engendering confidence in party officers is to resource them.

To this end, he promised to supply resources and tools in a timely manner to make the work of polling, branch, constituency and regional organizers easier.

Periodic training, he noted will be part of his plans to equip and upgrade the level of knowledge amongst party organizers.

These refresher courses and training, he mentioned will help to sharpen the knowledge of NPP organizers so as to be able to apply them during election periods.

‘’I am determined to make the work of organizers less stressful as I intend to provide timely resources and also equip them with the requisite knowledge to enable us act smart in election years’’, Mr Awuku posited.

RECEPTION:

At separate meetings with the Ashanti delegates including branch and constituency organizers, the most celebrated out-going youth organizer was mobbed at intervals as he addressed them.

With deafening shouts of ‘boys abr3’and ‘grass-root commander’, Mr Awuku struggled to deliver his message to the delegates from Suame, Oforikrom, Odotobri, Asokwa, Nhyiaeso, Kwadaso, Bantama and others.

On Monday, as if they had been privy to what happened at the first campaign tour in Kumasi on Sunday, delegates from Mampong, Agona, Afigya Kwabre and Mankranso in spontaneity and at separate functions mobbed the national organizer hopeful.

Cheering him, the delegates shared their challenges and difficulties freely with Mr Awuku who listened with the patience of a saint promising to address the issues that had come up in their discussion.
