Youth empowerment will be priority-Collins Amankwah assures

The Member of Parliament for the Manhyia-North Constituency, Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah has assured the youth of this country that they will find their portion in the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government.

Speaking to a cross section of journalists in the Kumasi metropolis as well as some party faithful at the constituency office recently, Hon Amankwah expressed hope the youth will have a bigger part to play in the new NPP administration.

According to him, the president was not only a believer in the youth but was also passionate about their welfare and empowerment.

This, he stressed makes him confident that the youth will not be abandoned in the NPP administration under President Akufo-Addo.

ADVICE:
Hon Amankwah, however, advised the youth to strive to add value to their current capacities so as to be able to fit into any future roles they would want to play in government.

He insisted that government would do its part in resourcing them as well as providing them with avenues of employment.

But, Hon Amankwah noted those who want to aspire to greater heights must learn to personally add value to their capacities.

The MP agreed that the worrying issue confronting the youth currently was joblessness and intimated the new administration was aware of it.

According to him, the NPP government would be expending all efforts to ensuring they create the necessary environment for the private sector to thrive and offer job opportunities for the increasing numbers on the streets.

SUPPORT:
The MP called for support for the new government and asked the youth to play their part well in offering advice and alternative ideas to government for a successful implementation of all policies it had promised.

According to him, the NPP believed in the capacities and knowledge of the Ghanaian Youth and was prepared to take their views on board in the creation of opportunities for all in the country.

He asked business owners to bring on board their ideas on industry, insisting that the NPP believed in participatory democracy where all expert views are inculcated in government business.

Hon Amankwah stressed his preparedness to partner the youth in whatever initiative they come up with so as to ensure more avenues of jobs were created for the increasing masses.
