Kwadaso MP drags feet in picking forms

Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA), Dr. Vincent Yaw Frimpong Manu

The incumbent Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Dr. Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah has still not picked his nomination forms to contest the party’s primary in April.

All three forms provided for the constituency had been picked by other aspirants as at the weekend.

It is not known whether his foot dragging is deliberate, but party sources at the Kwadaso indicated that the forms made available at the constituency had already been picked.

Chronicle checks over the weekend indicated that the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA), Dr. Vincent Yaw Frimpong Manu, the Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko and former Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Mrs. Hilda Addo had so far picked the available forms.

All three aspirants contest the incumbent in the June 2015 primaries and lost only to resurface for the impending constituency elections slated for April 25.

As a result of the seeming hesitation on the part of the incumbent, it is being rumoured that he might not avail himself for the primaries in spite of the fact that the party has provisions for aspirants to pick the nomination forms at the regional or national levels.

But the present situation notwithstanding, indications are that the Kwadaso New Patriotic Party primary promises to be contested keenly irrespective of machinations by the party.
