Collapse of Capital Bank; Otabil has disgraced God-Joseph Yammin

Ghana Politics News-Maverick politician and former NADMO Coordinator in the John Mahama administration, Hon. Joseph Yammin has described the actions and inaction of Pastor Mensah Otabil, Founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), and a key investor the defunct Capital Bank towards the collapse of Capital Bank as a “Complete disgrace to God”.

“When the NDC is in power, Otabil sees dark clouds, a sign of God’s curse on Ghana but, when the NPP comes to power, the man of God sees otherwise and that is why he would watch the Animal Kingdom on foreign Television in the NDC era instead of monitoring and commending the positive reportage of the Ghanaian Media, hence the collapse of his capital Bank” Yammin said.

Pastor Otabil has come under severe criticism from a section of Ghanaians for his role in the setting up and subsequent collapse of Capital Bank. Though, the Bible Teacher has explained that he was not directly involved in the daily administration of the Financial Institution, this has not gone down well with some Ghanaians.

Speaking in an interview on Asankrangwa based Royal FM, Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yammin described as hypocritical, Dr. Mensah Otabil’s role in Ghanaian politics and wondered why he would not concentrate on building the capacity of his church members towards practical Christianity instead of dabbling in partisan politics.

Yammin wants the vociferous man of God to preach against the harsh economic conditions the NPP government has brought to Ghanaians, the collapse of businesses like Capital Bank and others to convince him and other Ghanaians that he is an objective preacher. “I will salute him if he does this”, He concluded.
