Yammin and Nana Kwasi smoke peace pipe after NDC regional elections

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Augustus Nana Kwasi and his main contender in the party’s regional elections; Joseph Yammin yesterday resolved their grievances.

There was some wrangling between them during the campaigns ahead of the party’s regional elections.

Nana Kwasi was elected by the party delegates to lead the party in the region as party Chairman.

Nana Akwasi polled 699 while Joseph Yammin polled 611.

The duo who met at Joseph Yammin’s get-together for his campaign team settled their differences and have resolved to work together for the party’s victory in the 2020 general elections.

Augustus Nana Kwasi and his entourage including the regional executives stormed the place to grace the occasion.

Joseph Yammin speaking at the party pledged to support the regional executives to win massive votes for the party in the Ashanti Region.

Joseph Yammin urged all party members to settle their differences saying the party needs unity to win the 2020 elections.

“Today should be the happiest for each and everyone here. From today we don’t have team Yammin and Team Nana Kwasi in NDC party. All hands must come on board for victory. Since we need victory, we have to come together as one and fight our opponents but not to fight ourselves. I want to assure Nana Kwasi and all the Regional executives that Joseph Yammin is always available 24/7”,  he said.

He added that 2020 elections will be easy for NDC but it can also be difficult for the party without unity.

He therefore charged party members to be vigilant and work hard for victory in the 2020 elections.

However, Chairman Augustus Nana Kwasi also pledged to unite the party and also bring every party member on board for victory.

According to Nana Kwasi, the work will be difficult for the new regional executives without the help of those who lost the elections especially Joseph Yammin.
