Work to retain NPP in power-Nana Ama Ampomah tasks TESCON

Nana Ama Ampomah, Ashanti Regional Women’s organizer of the NPP speaking at the TESCON meeting in Kumasi

The Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ama Ampomah has tasked the student wing (TESCON) of the party to work to ensure they retain power in the upcoming elections in 2020.

According to her, the NPP could be in a position to offer more jobs to the youth and create avenues for businesses to thrive when it is retained in power in 2020.

Addressing the party’s wing at the University of Education of Winneba (UEW-K), Kumasi Campus, Madam Ampomah tasked students to work to project the party while in school.

She noted that with their intelligence and analytical sense they could best explain the party’s programs and policies better to people and the general public.

‘’I believe that as students and party activists your role is to propagate the good policies of the NPP while here on campus. You are not to sit at the four corners of this great university and leave the work you are supposed to do on others’’, Nana Ama Ampomah advised.

REFERENDUM:

Madam Ampomah asked the student wing to intensify ways of informing their colleagues about the upcoming referendum.

She noted a ‘YES’ vote would mean they wanting to be on the side of ensuring that local or district level elections are made partisan.

This, the Women’s organiser said would augur well for the citizenry so that parties could offer support to their preferred choices and make their members accountable at all times.

She noted that a ‘YES’ vote would also mean they wanting to be on the side of the President who wants to deepen local government process at every levels.

SUPPORT:

The women’s organiser promised to resource the women’s wing of TESCON which is popularly called WOCOM.

She noted that this will enable the wing to play its role well as they reach out to their fellow students and the community they live in with the good plans of the party.

The NPP, Madam Ampomah indicated does not play with the TESCON and WOCOM wings on campus, adding that the party  has been engaging them for monitoring and grass root work during election periods.

She tasked them to give their all even as the referendum of December 17 comes up so that they can campaign to make people vote YES.
