Open letter to Nana Addo

25th May, 2015

Dear Sir,

Accept my condolence for the demise of your Upper East Regional Chairman. We are all hopeful as indicated by Hisakufo-addo2 Excellency John Mahama, President of Ghana through a tweet that the perpetrators of this crime will be established through police investigations for the law to deal with them. May God almighty grant his soul Janatul Fidaus.

Nana, I write to draw your attention to an allegation against your person by one of your ardent defenders the Hon. Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong.

On the night of Thursday, 21st May, 2015, at or about 9:30pm, the said NPP MP alleged on Oman fm an Accra based radio station which sympathizes and advocates for your party NPP that you covered up an attempt by your National Chairman Paul Afoko to murder your National Nasara Coordinator.

For your attention, I transcribe below what he actually said on Oman fm:
“Presenter: Hon. Ken…

Kennedy Agyepong: Dont honorable me…

Presenter: I am asking you a question, I am the host and I am asking you a question, you cant say I shouldn’t ask…

Kennedy Agyepong: okay ask me…

Presenter: Did you hear the advise? Nana Addo says…

Ken Agyepong: ooh! Everyday he is like that, he sits there unconcerned… even when Afoko pulled a gun on the Nasara Coordinator, Nana has covered-up and kept it as a secret. And he is always saying we should take time, then later Arthur Kennedy & Co will turn round to accuse him (Nana Addo) of destroying the NPP…”

It has been four (4) days now and counting since Hon Kennedy Agyepong made this allegation against you yet Ghanaians have not heard or read a denial from any of your spokespersons or your good self.

Nana, you cannot claim not to have heard this allegation! Your silence simply confirms the assertion by many of your party members that Hon Kennedy Agyepong is the most truthful NPP member alive!

Nana, my interest is not about how you manage your political party as Leader. In fact how your leadership style has destroyed the NPP does not concern me.

I am only concerned because you seek to be elected President of our dear country Ghana. And as a potential occuppier of the Flagstaff House, it is important for all Ghanaians to know how you intend to deal with Crime, Corruption, etc etc when commited by your appointees.

It is dangerous for Ghana if our potential President is someone who cover-up crime to save his party’s image. It means you can equally cover-up crime, corruption etc etc with the aim of saving your government.

The office of accountability under Former President Kufour your former boss readily comes in mind.

Nana, kindly answer for us (Ghanaians) the actions you would take as President of Ghana for the following scenarios;
1. If your Chief of Staff pulls a gun on your Religious Advisor?
2. If an NPP member pours acid on your Upper East Regional Minister?
3. If your Minister of Foreign Affairs engages in drugs?

Would you cover-up these crimes like you did when your National Chairman pulled a gun on your Nasara Coordinator as alleged by Hon Kennedy Agyepong?

Ghanaians await your answers!

Accept my deepest condolence once again for the death of your Upper East Regional Chairman.

Thank you for your attention.

A proud citizen of Ghana

Brogya Genfi
