NPP to lose votes as executives oppose Bekwai PC

NPPThe New Patriotic Party (NPP) will have a difficult time increasing votes of her presidential candidate,  Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo in the December 7 polls as an old feud in the party resurrects.

Some constituency executives of the party in Bekwai in the Ashanti Region are against their parliamentary candidate,  Hon. Joe Osei-Wusu and are doing everything humanly possible to cause disaffection for him. This action is expected to affect the party’s flag bearer if nothing is done about it.

Some strong allies of Hon. Ignatius Kofi Opoku Adusei,  the former Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency,  former Deputy Minister Women’s and Children Affairs and former Deputy Minister Local Government are pulling strings to ensure  the party does not get enough votes to secure victory in the upcoming polls.

Information available indicates the “Anti Party 2016 Agenda Squad ”  is strongly against Hon.  Osei-Wusu popularly called Joe wise for something he did in the past.

It will be recalled that the former MP Hon. Adusei became a victim of machinations from supporters of Joe wise in 2004.

The former DVLA Boss was a strong contender to the former minister during NPP’s primaries in 2004.

Hon. Joe Osei-Wusu went to parliament 2004 as independent candidate  when he  lost the primaries despite several appeals from the party leadership to quit his ambition.

He staged a come- back to NPP in 2008 and won primaries to represent the party in parliament for a second term.

However, information available to rawgist.com is that supporters of Hon. Kofi Opoku Adusei,  clandestinely have held several meetings to “pay back Joe wise by ensuring NPP looses the 2016 elections”

“It is a pay back time now. He did not help Nana to win in 2000 by going independent so we are not going to campaign for him as our parliamentary candidate” .

“If you do not help your brother to cross the red sea, he will also not help you when it is your time’, the aggrieved members told rawgist.com’s Kwabena Danso-Dapaah.
