NPP constituency executives rubbish allegations against MP

The Afigya Kwabre South  Constituency Executives of the New Patriotic party  (NPP)  have expressed their displeasure over what they describe as false allegations against their Member of Parliament (MP) Owuraku Aidoo by some individuals in the constituency for their selfish interests of getting the MP out in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the party.

Mr. James Adjei and Reagan Mensah, Constituency Organizer now district NADMO coordinator and Kyekyire/Kyerase electoral area Coordinator respectively have been explaining the situation to the media.

They say a group is deliberately peddling falsehood using the names of the chiefs in the area. According to the two, these disgruntled persons tell unsuspecting folks that the Chiefs vehemently want the MP out of office for non-performance. They also peddle false claims of bad blood between the MP and the chiefs emanating from the alleged failure of the MP to honor invitations on pressing developmental concerns extended by the chiefs.

The two party executives say the allegations are unfounded and should be dismissed by all.

They explain that they have taken pains to search and found out that no chief is interested in the agenda being peddled.

They say it is a ploy to tarnish the image of the MP who is also Deputy Minister of Energy and consequently get him out of the party’s parliamentary primaries.

They hold the opinion that the MP has performed well and should be hailed by the people of the constituency.

They say those peddling the falsehoods are self seeking individuals and should not be tolerated by members of the constituency.
