MTN/Fidelity bank now allows you to save at 12% per annum on your phone

Mobile telephony giant; MTN in collaboration with Fidelity bank Wednesday launched a new product that allows all mobile money subscribers to save on their mobile phones.

MTN Yello Save, according to its architects delivers a whopping interest on savings of 12 percent per year.

At the launch of the product in Kumasi Wednesday, General Manager for the Northern Business District for MTN; James Bukari Basintale explained that there are no charges whatsoever on transactions. He tells rawgist.com that MTN Yello Save will help rope in a lot more people in the country’s efforts to promote savings culture.

For his part, a branch manager of Fidelity Bank in Kumasi; Nana Yaw Ofosu Asante lauded the collaboration between MTN and Fidelity Bank. He believes the collaboration will promote economic progress of Ghanaians.

Several market women who joined the launch were excited at the product as well as the prospects of gaining 12% interest; something that does not happen with regular savings accounts in various banks.

Currently, MTN has over 8 million Mobile Money subscribers and 58,000 agents nationwide; a position that makes the Y’ello Save platform an important avenue for subscribers to harness the benefits of savings.

  1. I sent 25 cedis to save in yello save and received message back that the transaction has failed the money will be reverse for 3 days now the money is not save also not back to my mtn wallet,
    Why ?

  2. I sent 50 cedi s to save in yello save but I was told the transaction failed the money will be reversed. Till now the money is not in my yello save neither is it in my Mtn account

  13. I have been saving with Yello save
    But as at now I can’t have access to what I’ve saved. Sometimes after the deduction they will then send you a reply that the transaction failed meanwhile it doesn’t reflect back to my account. So help me out.

  14. Please when is the required time to withdraw an amount? ? Because I registered for 5 cedis a day and I’ve deposited 35 cedis so far but when I turn to withdraw a certified amount, I’m told I don’t have enough funds to withdraw the amount required. And sometimes the yello save page doesn’t laod, continuous messages of the page loading but to no avail…I can’t access the account.
