Fear grips Chairman Wontumi

Ahead of the NPP Regional Executive Elections, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako is said to be living in fear as Mr Asare Bediako warms up to join the Chairmanship race.

The camp of Mr. Asare Bediako, Ashanti Regional Chairman Hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, has downplayed  vile propaganda making rounds on social media and other news outlets, that, all the 47 constituency executives in the Region have endorsed the candidature of the incumbent Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi- Boasiako, affectionately known on the political arena as Chairman Wontumi.

The Spokesperson for Mr. Asare Bediako, Mr. Prince Milonu, has entreated the public to dismiss the news, since it is a pure propaganda bereft of merit.

‘’Per our investigations, no such endorsements were made by the supposed 47 Constituency Executives in the region’’, he hinted.

Speaking on Oyerepa News, at 6am, on 7th March, 2018 in debunking the palpable falsehood making the rounds on social media, he bemoaned “the Chairman’s gross disrespect” on the current Regional and Constituency Executive members.

Mr. Milonu, further accused the incumbent Regional Chairman, of failing to account to the party as far as money raised from party members in January 2016, at the Baba Yara Sports Studium, to aid the party’s campaign activities in the 2016 general elections is concerned.

He accused Chairman Wontumi of  clear exhibition of total leadership failure and lack of accountability, hence, the need for a new incorruptible Chairman in the region.

He says Chairman Asare Bediako stands tall in the upcoming regional executives election, hence, the decision of the incumbent to fall on the media for public sympathy.

“The panic caused by Mr. Asare Bediako in this very contest has compelled chairman Wontumi to be spreading falsehood, that, he has vehemently been endorsed by all the 47 constituency Executives when appointments are yet to be made by the Constituencies to have the full complement of the constituency executives.”
