The Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Ama Ampomah has charged members of the women’s wing to strive to emulate the lifestyle of Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, wife of the President.

Speaking exclusively to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper last Thursday ahead of the International Women’s day which falls on Friday, the 8th of March, the NPP women’s leader said, ‘let us consciously copy the humility, kindhearted attitude of our first lady and display same wherever we are’.

These qualities of the first lady make her an ideal international lady who is worth celebrating and projecting to the world, Mrs Ampomah stressed.

She said regional women organizers of the NPP across the country were deliberately copying the lifestyle and generous activities of the first lady.

ADVICE:

Mrs Ampomah urged women in the nation to train up their children especially the girls to emulate female leaders who have distinguished themselves in their field of work.

The careful teaching of the values and lifestyles of these accomplished ladies, the NPP women leader believes will spur girls and ladies on to achieve or surpass same if these are taught them early in life.

The days when men were seen to be head and perfect examples of everything in the world, Nana Ama opined was past and gone.

She therefore encouraged women in the country to aspire to achieve greatness with anything and everything they are doing so that they can be better role models and examples for the younger generation of girls and ladies.

‘’We as women have every potential to attain greatness because if we can birth ideas including pregnancies there is nothing that we cannot do better in life’’, Mrs Ampomah posited.

SUPPORT FOR THE HOME:

Advising further, Mrs Ampomah, who is popularly called pretty giant by party folk asked working women to support their husbands to keep the home.

This, she said will bring sanity and peace in the home since each of them will be playing roles required of a spouse.

The idea that men should only use their money to foot every bill in the house is gone, Mrs Ampoam noted.

Currently, those who live in peace are the ones who support their husbands with funds they also earn at the work place in keeping the home, the NPP woman revealed.

‘’Let us work to support our husbands with the funds we get from our toil in the workplace or market so that we can ensure peace and harmony in our homes’’, the NPP women leader admonished.
