Deputy Sports Minister Cleared of Wrongdoing, Begins Work on Monday

Enam Pius Hadzide, who is the Deputy Sports Minister, has been reinstated after being fingered in visa racketeering during the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

The Minister was alleged to have involved in transporting over 60 Ghanaians claiming to be journalists, who were in turn deported back into the country.

Subsequently, President Akufo-Addo who has long been championing anti-corruption campaign asked the Deputy Minister to step aside for investigation to be conducted into such reprehensible act.

The honourable minister has therefore been cleared of any unlawful activity and bad behavior after thorough investigations were carried out.

“On my return from a state visit to South Africa, I received a police report on the Australian visa scandal, which has exonerated the suspended Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports in the visa fraud.

“I will lift the suspension on Monday and return him to office, and I intend to maintain this approach during my entire tenure,” said by the president during NPP’s National Delegate Conference.

Hon. Pius Hadzide is expected resume work on Monday to help restore sanity after ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’s expose in uncovering deep rooted stinking corruption in football in the country.
