Deputy Minister inaugurates 5 projects in Bibiani

Ghana Politics News-The Deputy Minister of Health and Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency in the Western Region, Hon. Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu has inaugurated five health projects in the Bibiani Municipality.

Inaugurating the five CHPs compound at separate locations, he indicated that, the projects were financed through his share of the National Health Insurance Scheme funds allocated for members of parliament and also with the support of the 1million dollar per constituency.

According to him, it is the vision of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to provide health facilities closer to every individual to avoid accessing health care from afar.

He said, this is to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that focuses on universal health coverage and challenges Countries to ensure that access to quality health care is universal and equitable for all irrespective of location, economic status, age and sex.

Mr. Gyedu said, government is determined to provide a CHPS Compound to at least each electoral area within the country to ensure the well being of the people.

The beneficiary communities were Lineso a suburb of Bibiani, Chine, Ntakam, Akaasu and sefwi Apenkrom respectively.

He tasked the health workers posted to the various CHPs compounds to be respectful, committed, patient and desist from being rude to the people in order to avoid any mob attacks.

Hon. Aboagye, also advised the constituents to renew their insurance registration to guarantee them access to the facilities.

The chief of Sefwi Ntakam who doubles as Abakomahene of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional area, Nana Kwadwo Somiah ll, who speaks on behalf of the beneficiary communities commended the (NPP) government and the member of parliament for the area for their tremendous performance within the period of (20) months in government.

He promised to ensure regular maintenance of the facilities to preserve it for future use.
