Akufo Addo’s government has lost fight against corruption-Sammy Gyamfi

National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the government led by Nana Akufo Addo has lost the fight against corruption.

He has reaffirmed that a future NDC government will reopen investigations into former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources; Cecilia Dapaah.

Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi who was speaking as a panelist on TV3’s “The Keypoint” programme lashed the government for being unable to do “simple investigation”.

Attorney General and Minister for Justice; Godfred Dame, a few days ago indicated that there is no evidence of corruption or procurement breaches against the former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources and her husband Daniel Osei Kufour.

The Flagbearer of the NDC; John Dramani Mahama after the AG’s statement indicated on X that his government will reopen investigations into Cecilia Dapaah’s case.

Mr. Sammy Gyamfi who was irritated about the AG’s statement questioned the advice from the AG’s office however questioned the AG’s locus in advising on what is necessary and what is not stating that he should be concerned with what is legal or illegal.

He expressed disappointment at the government for trying to cover up corruption and reaffirmed that an NDC government will reopen investigations into Cecilia Dapaah.

He indicated that the President and his Vice are corrupt and have lost the fight against corruption.
