The NDC in the Ashanti region has dismissed rumours that there is confusion in the party over a supposed re-appointment of former Deputy Ashanti regional minister; Joseph Yammin into governance.
A statement issued by the party and signed by the Deputy Ashanti regional Youth Organizer Osman Abdullah Nabali said the false rumour is being circulated by the Chronicle Newspaper and captioned “Confusion in NDC over Yammin”.
Osman Abdullah Nabali, who is a member of the regional Executive Committee of the NDC contends that “Under no circumstance had the Ashanti Regional Executive Members turned down any request from the Flagstaff house to reinstate or willing to block the coming back of Hon Yammin…” and adds that “the said publication is false, preposterous, demeaning, malicious, unethical and unprofessional to journalism”.
The Deputy NDC Ashanti Youth Organizer went on to highlight some virtues of the former Deputy Ashanti regional minister saying Mr. Yammin” is a humble young man, hard working, Selfless grassroot man, who serves as a rising hope for the youth in the Ashanti Region. Hon Yammin had worked with the regional executive committee members before as Regional Secretary of the NDC, and for that matter has no problems or whatsoever with the executives.”
Mr. Yammin who was Deputy Minister for the Ashanti region was removed together with then Regional Minister, Samuel Sarpong in March last year without stated reasons. There has been no Deputy Regional minister since; a situation many people believe is stalling the development of the region.

It has come to my attention as a Deputy Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer publication circulating in the media by the ‘Chronicle News’, captioned “Confusion In NDC Over Yammin”.
The said article is in reference to Hon Joseph Yammin’s appointment/reinstatement
Under no circumstance had the Ashanti Regional Executive Members turned down any request from the Flagstaff house to reinstate or willing to block the coming back of Hon Yammin, as far as i am concerned as a member of the Ashanti Regional Executive Committee.
I will like to state with regret and to clear the air waves, and bring to the attention of the general public that, the said publication is false, preposterous, demeaning, malicious, unethical and unprofessional to journalism.
