Okyeame Kwame and team thrill patrons at ‘The Versatile Show’

okyeameIt was all thrills and cheers at the National Theater on Saturday November 8 when Ghana’s ‘Rap Doctor’- Okyeame Kwame and his amazing team of actors treated theatre lovers to an evening of bliss at the ‘Versatile Show’.

After several months of intensive and tireless rehearsals, Okyeame Kwame and his selected enthusiastic and talented local actors, dancers and musicians, brought onto the Ghanaian theatrical scene a significant level of creativity in terms of drama, music, poetry, dance and comedy.

The show undoubtedly had a high level of patronage as the venue was filled with hundreds of people, from all walks of life.
In attendance were celebrities, media guru’s, and high profiled personalities including, the Deputy Minister for Tourism Dzifa Gomarshie, Kwesi Pratt, Uncle Ebo White, Raquel, Beverly Afaglo, Lexis Bill, Giovani of the Celebrity night show, Andy Dosty, and a host of others.

The Versatile Show, told a story from the point of view of five characters: the Pimp, the Politician, the Police, the Pastor and the Prostitute and reveals a corrupt society that hides behind the veil of decency.thrill
The show also featured many celebrities including the Rap Doctor himself – Okyeame Kwame, Adjetey Anang, Wanlov, Ekow Smith Asante, Adina, Choir Master of Praye fame, and many other performing talents.

There were amazing musical performances which saw Samini excel with an energetic and outstanding performance which had the whole crowd dancing knocks and cracks.
Hip-life duo Keche also made sure to make an impact on the crowd.

The show was written by Okyeame Kwame and co-directed by Kofi Antonio, Nii Tete and Alfred Elikem Kunutsor who are Master’s Degree holders in performing arts.
