I don’t choose my projects, my projects choose me-Okyeame Kwame

Okyeame-kwameGhanaian musician Okyeame Kwame says he doesn’t have a laid down procedure for deciding which projects to embark upon but rather pray about things for which people seek his help and just pursue them.

“I don’t choose my projects, my projects choose me. People come to me to help them do various things. I pray about it and when it touches me, I go ahead and exert my energy in that direction”, he told Charles Kumah-Ntim on Maxx All Access on Takoradi based Maxx FM.

The Rap Doctor, as he is popularly known, decided to help the Paralympic team to raise $40,000 to enable the Paralympic team to participate in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.  Contrary to what people thought, he said he didn’t do the fundraiser as part of activities to mark his 40th birthday but rather to help.

He reveals that his new song- a gospel song; “Halleluyah” is inspired by the fact that at 40, he has had an amazing life-amazing career, education, parents, fans. “It’s time to inspire others and do something in honor of God”, he told Charles Kumah-Ntim.
