Zamse Student Misses WASSCE History Paper

examA student of the Zamse Senior High Technical School in the Upper East region is still wondering how he missed one of the papers in the ongoing West African Senior school Certificate examination.

It is believed there was an error in the registration process which caused him to be registered for the government paper instead of the History paper he should have written.

The student whose name has been withheld for now could not write his History paper Tuesday,28th April 2015 because he was mistakenly registered for Government which is not part of his electives in the General Arts program he is studying in the Zamse senior High Technical school.

External invigilator at the school, James Ada-Ebisa who confirmed the anomaly to rawgist.com said the student has no option than to register for a private exam in order to fill the gap in his certificate.

Because the West African Examination Council (WAEC) does not have the student’s particulars on the history paper so even if he is allowed to write the exams his paper will not be marked.

Moreover, the Government paper he has been registered to write has already been written.

But the student says the error has really caused him a lot and he does not know what to tell his parents about the situation.

“When I was told that I have not been registered for the history paper, I became confused because I don’t know what to tell my parents about my situation and I don’t even have money on me to register for the private examination” he said soberly.

Meanwhile, Headmaster of the Zamse Senior High Technical School who spoke to rawgist.com said, he will ensure that the student gets registered at his own cost.

A total of two hundred and sixty eight thousand, seven hundred and seventy one final-year Senior High School (SHS) candidates are writing this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) which is expected to end in May 2015.
