We will work to retain NPP in power-Chairman Wontumi

Ghana News–The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako says the newly elected executives are resolved to work to retain the NPP in power for another four years in government.

This, he noted will ensure that the party follows through all its plans and policies it promised during the 2016 electioneering campaign.

Addressing scores of Muslims and worshippers at the Kumasi Central Mosque last Friday in the company of the other elected regional executives, the flamboyant Chairman thanked the Chief Imam for praying for the NPP to have a successful conference in Ejura.

The conference, he mentioned afforded delegates of the party the opportunity to choose the most competent of persons who presented themselves to be elected as regional executives.

‘’We are grateful to you Chief Imam for your prayers and we know the prayer you offered will spur us on to work in unity to ensure we retain power in 2020’’, Chairman Boasiako posited.

NANA AMA AMPOMAH:

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Nana Ama Ampomah noted with delight the opportunity they have been given as executives to serve the NPP for another four year term.

She thanked the party delegates for the confidence they have reposed in them and assured that they would also work hard to justify that confidence.

According to her, the executives are united to pursue a common agenda which is to work to ensure they oil the party structures for the task ahead of them in 2020.

Madam Ampomah thanked the Muslim community for the continued support and urged the Chief Imam to continually pray for them to work with good hearts.

CHIEF IMAM:

Sheikh Abdul Haroun Moomen, the Regional Chief Imam commended the NPP executives for the decision to show gratitude to God.

This act, he noted shows humility, adding God is happy with people who show appreciation for his mercies.

He advised the newly elected executives as well as those who were retained in their positions to be humble in their pursuits.

Sheikh Moomen reminded the executives to be transparent in their dealings with party people and the public so as to engender confidence in the people.

Present at the thanksgiving service ceremony were party big wigs including the newly elected executives such as Francis Adomako, regional organizer, Nelson Owusu Ansah, regional Youth Organizer, Sam Cudjoe, Second Vice-Chair, Kwabena Senkyire, First-Vice Chair, Sam Pyne, regional secretary as well as the other elected deputies.
