This follows what the party describes as the lackadaisical attitude of the police towards the arrest and prosecution of masterminds behind the shooting incident that left over 9 people injured on the eve of last month’s National Executives Elections held there.
Speaking to rawgist.com, the Tamale Central Constituency Secretary of the NPP, Musah Mutawakilu called on the police to expedite action to arrest the suspects.
He however hinted of a demonstration to drum home their concerns if the police remain adamant.
Nine persons sustained gunshot wounds at Aboabo, a suburb of Tamale, during activities to herald the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) national delegates’ conference.
The nine are said to have been shot by unidentified men in a moving taxi, and another on a motor bike.
