Oyerepa Afutuo puts smiles on the faces of orphans & widows

Oyerepa FM, a Kumasi-based radio station has placed smiles on the faces of about one thousand widows in the region.

The host and crew of Oyerepa afutuo; one of the most listened to programmes on radio took the initiative and organized resources to ensure that orphans within the region have an amazing Christmas.

They donated 1000 pieces of clothes, bags of rice, sugar, oil, soaps, soft drinks and several other items to the widows.

There will also be a huge feast for orphans and widows Tuesday.

The host of Oyerepa Afutuo, Auntie Naa, presenting the items on behalf of Oyerepa Fm, its crew members and listeners said, the support forms part of their plans to respond to the social needs of the less privileged women in society and widows.

She noted that, “as we celebrate Christmas, there is the need to appreciate our loyal listeners particularly widows, by putting a smile on their faces” .

‘’It is through their prayers and support that we have gotten to where we are now, and we must in return recognize the full worth of their ample time and trust reposed in us as the number one program in the region’’ she said.

Oyerepa Afutuo’s relevance is being felt by the most vulnerable and destitute in the region.

The program has been designed to proffer cogent solutions to social problems the most beneficiaries being women.
