Lordina Mahama visits orphanages at Techiman

lordinaThe First Lady of the Republic of Ghana Lordina Mahama has visited Orphanages in the Techiman Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region.

She donated several units of rice, cooking oil and candies to children at Frankmay orphanage and Krobo.

She first visited the Palace of the Techiman Traditional Council where she interacted with the Omanhene of the Techiman tradional area, Oseadeayo Ekumfi Ameyaw IV and his sub-chiefs.

The first Lady assured the council of government’s commitment towards the development of the area.

She said roads that have been on the drawing board to be tarred like the Techiman – Mesidan-Buoyem road would soon be tarred for farmers and residents to have access to the Techiman main town for business purposes.

At the orphanages she danced with the children and ate with them. She assured them of the government’s great plans for them and urged them to study and be of good behaviour.

The Director of Frankmay Orphanage, Mr. Frank Apus thanked the first lady for the kind gesture done them adding that the items given them would be used judiciously.

He called on other Philanthropists, individuals and well meaning Ghanaians to emulate the first lady’s gesture.
