We thank MASLOC for commercial tricycles in Techiman – Residents

(MASLOC)Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) is a microfinance apex body responsible for implementing the Government of Ghana’s (GoG) microfinance programmes targeted at reducing poverty, creating jobs and wealth.

Over the years MASLOC has modestly established itself not only as a microfinance institution that disburses micro and small loans to the identified poor in the various sectors of the Ghanaian economy, but also provides business advisory services, training and capacity building for small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) as well as collaborating institutions, to provide them with the required skills and knowledge in managing their businesses efficiently and effectively.

MASLOC has introduced commercial Tricycles in the Techiman Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region and commuters have expressed their gratitude to the Government for the honor done them.

Talking to rawgist.com some commuters said the Tricycle charges less compared to Taxis and the Trotro that ply their trade in the municipality.

Hajia Salamatu who sells waakye at the Techiman main market said Taxis charge exorbitant fees when transporting her to the market from the house but compared to the tricycle it is manageable.

Taxis charge 1.50 ghana cedis, while the Trotro charges 70 pesewas form the various suburbs to the Techiman main Town but the Tricycle charges 50 pesewas.

Some called on the government to make sure they make the acquisition of the Tricycle very simple so that farmers in the remote areas of the Techiman Municipality can enjoy the transport system of the MASLOC Tricycle.
