I’m well pleased in you- Mahama lauds Osei-Kofi

mahama_jonnyThe President, John Dramani Mahama has commended the work rate of his Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Jonny Osei Kofi, noting the latter had displayed a great sense of dedication to the forward march of the country.

Lifting his hands as he presented Mr Osei Kofi to the lecturers and students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) during his recent visit to the school, President Mahama urged those who are resident in Oforikrom to vote massively for the educationist.

Mr Osei Kofi is contesting for the first time the Oforikrom parliamentary elections on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the President, Mr Osei Kofi represented hope for the Oforikrom community having lived and taught in the community for a long time.

EXPERIENCE:
Recalling the experience of the Parliamentary hopeful, President Mahama indicated the NDC candidate had a perfect understanding of the challenges pertaining to the Oforikrom constituency.

He, therefore, urged students and residents at the community to provide support to the NDC candidate as they vote massively for him at the upcoming polls in December.

According to the President, Mr Osei Kofi by his work rate had proven to be someone who could manage every office given him, noting he had excelled at the presidency with his finesse and dexterity.

‘’I present to you a man who has worked all his life to better the lot of people and proven to be on top of every challenge that came his way’’, the President endorsed to loud applause.

INTERVIEW:
In an interview with the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper moments after he was endorsed by the president, Mr Osei Kofi expressed delight about the huge boost the NDC leader had given him.

He indicated his resolve to work harder to ensure the Oforikrom parliamentary seat reverts to the fold of the ruling NDC despite been held sway by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

‘’ Brother, I am humbled by the huge endorsement given to my candidature by the President and am even more energized than ever for the work ahead’’, the Deputy Chief of Staff stated.

According to him, the task ahead was very daunting but was surmountable since he had faced similar challenges during his 40 years of teaching and lecturing.
