Four Kwadaso schools receive support from MP

Ghana Education News-The Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso Constituency, Dr Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah has donated 220 dual desks and mathematical sets to JHS three (3) pupils in four schools in his area.

The donation forms part of the MP’s commitment to using education to empower school children within Kwadaso community.

Speaking at separate presentation ceremonies at Apatrapa Roman Catholic Primary, Takyiman Presbyterian Basic, 4-BN Basic and Prempeh Basic B Schools, the MP expressed his delight at the opportunity to give back to schools in Kwadaso.

He noted these schools have continued to shape the future and lives of residents in the constituency.

‘’I am delighted to present these dual desks and mathematical sets as a token of my support to ensuring that we train these pupils to become useful citizens in future’’, Dr Nuamah stated.

Dr Nuamah advised the school children to take their studies serious if they would want to become useful to their family, community and country in future.

He asked that parents as well as school authorities take particular interest in the welfare of the children both at the house and in school.

This, he observed will help to encourage the pupils to study while at home and at school.

He urged the JHS 3 pupils to aim at scoring high marks at their upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) so that they can have easy access to enjoy the free senior high school education introduced by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo.

‘’I urge my brothers and sisters who are in JHS 3 to study hard so they can gain high marks in their upcoming BECE so that they can enjoy free SHS which President Akufo-Addo has graciously introduced in our educational system’’, Dr Nuamah stressed.

The MP announced to deafening applause the conduct of vacation classes for basic school and pre-SHS students in all the electoral areas in Kwadaso beginning next year.

This, he mentioned will keep students busy even during vacation periods.

Commending the MP for the gesture at Prempeh Basic B School campus, the headmaster, Mr Milton Semaya thanked the MP for the show of care.

He also praised him for accepting to attend to other pressing needs they discussed with him during his visit.

Mr Semanya noted the desk couldn’t have come at a better time as this when enrollment has increased in the school.

He, however, urged other MPs in the Ashanti Region to emulate the example of Dr S.K Nuamah.

‘’We are grateful for this gesture and we know the items you have provided for the school as well as the JHS pupils will spur them on to study hard for best outcomes’’, Mr Semanya noted.
