Ghana News–The young musician who was showcased by Samini during the recent VGMA says he is not slowing down after the exposure given him.
Deon Boakye who spoke to Kumasi based YFM presenter Kwame Scientific, expressed profound gratitude to Samini and the people of Ghana for the platform that was given him to show his musical abilities.
“God has opened a great door for me and I will not slow down”, he said and promised to make Samini and everybody in Ghana proud.
Emmanuel Andrews Samini in a surprise move called out Deon to the stage during his performance at the 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs) held Saturday 14th April, 2018.
Samini after prophesying the musical future of Deon amidst great hype went ahead to cede his stage to him to continue the performance; an opportunity the young chap utilized well to the amazement of Ghanaian music lovers.
Samini, who sang his words said he had predicted accurately the musical rise Stonebwoy and Kofi Kinata accurately and as he continued to scan the young talents in the industry, he sees Deon Boakye as one to watch out for.
Deon lived in Kumasi and had a hit song; alewa ft Cabum. He schooled at the Takoradi polytechnic (Takoradi Technical University).
Deon currently has a single that features Samini. He hopes people will like his new song.
