National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party Otiko Afrisah Djabah has described as “totally unnecessary” the bickering in the party between the supporters of the two leading flagbearer aspirants of the party
With one day more to the national delegates’ conference of the main opposition party, Madam Otiko is calling for circumspection in how supporters of opposing candidates handle one another as the party needs to get its acts together in preparedness to lead Ghanaians.
The lead up to the conference has seen the release of audio recordings of key party members. The release is intended to question the integrity of some members hence dim the chances of their chosen candidates during the polls.

Meanwhile all flagbearer hopefuls are expected to end all campaigning today as the party places a ban on campaign activities comes into effect by close of Thursday.
Announcing the end of campaigning at a press conference in Accra General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong indicated that effective midnight the 16th of October 2014 no aspirant is permitted to campaign for votes.
He says any individual caught flouting the directive will be dealt with accordingly.
In a related development two-time Flagbearer of the NPP Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has wrapped up his nationwide campaign with a mini rally at Abeka Lapaz a Suburb of Accra.
The other candidates Alan Kyeremanten ended his campaign in his home region in Ashanti .Francis Addai Nimoh also spend the day traversing Cental and Western regions.
Over 1400 delegates of NPP are expected to cast ballot on Saturday to elect a flagbearer for the 2016 elections.
