Fears that KNUST will not have SRC executives deepen as the SRC Election is still in court after an aspirant who was not recommended by the vetting panel set up by the Electoral commissioner sent the matter there.
This has increased fears among electorates and aspirants that there would not be SRC executives for the next academic year since students have already started examination and would be vacating soon.
The misunderstanding started when one of the four SRC Presidential aspirants who were not recommended by the vetting panel to take part in the race took the matter to court.
David Nkansah Anto affectionately called DNA by his followers, on the 7th of April applied for an interim injunction on the elections which was supposed to take place on the 9th of April and was upheld.
The SRC Judicial committee applied for an appeal and was granted abridgment of time and would be heard on 23rd April.
Students are still not certain that there would be any SRC Elections for 2015/2016 academic year unless a date is set early enough before vacation.
