The incumbent Member of Parliament for the Asante-Akim North Constituency, Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has taken the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) agenda for change to a different level by urging the youth especially sportsmen to invest their future in the next NPP administration.
According to him, the future of the Ghanaian youth will be best served in the policies of the NPP and its flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper in Kumasi after presenting specially designed footballs to two groups of football players at the Collins and Roman Catholic School parks in the constituency, Hon Agyemang rallied the youth to place their bets on the NPP as the general election draw close.
”As youth we should rather look for the person or party who has our interests at heart and also policies that will make our lives count while we are still young”, the MP asserted.
The MP advised the youth to look beyond what they currently see and invest their time and strength into supporting the efforts of the NPP to reclaim political power.
This, the MP noted would be the best way of securing a better future for themselves since the NPP is focused in resourcing the youth with employable skills.
Hon Baah Agyemang intimated the resolve of the NPP to create an enabling environment which will ensure more jobs were created to absorb the huge numbers who come out of school.
”It is time for us to look beyond the brick, mortar and iron rods to make decisions that will positively affect our children and the entire community”, Hon Baah posited passionately.
Responding to the gesture, Vincent Osei Bofa, Captain of the Collins park team thanked the MP and urged others to follow suit.
According to him, they owe it as a duty to themselves and others to choose a better future by voting for a person who can best help them realize their dreams.
On his part, Kwasi Agyei, Captain of the Roman park team expressed delight at the gesture of the MP and stressed the need for political parties to show much concern for the youth.
According to him, they are the ones who are affected the more in the country when unemployment goes up since vulnerable ones among them take to stealing and all manner of vices just to make ends meet.
