Versatile Show cast poised for Saturday

okyeame-kwame-620x330Preceding “The Versatile Show”, have been rehearsals on-going at the national theatre each day. Tomorrow ends the intensive rehearsals that have gone on for two months now.

Okyeame Kwame together with some best actors, dancers and some musicians in the country have prepared tirelessly to bring to the audience nothing but the best on 8th November 2014 at the National Theatre.

The rehearsals show the immense and alluring level of creativity being brought on board in terms of drama, music, poetry, dance and comedy. The show is written by Okyeame Kwame and directed by Kofi Antonio, Nii Tete and Alfred Elikem Kunutsor who are Masters Degree holder in performing arts.

In the drama component where a story is told from the point of view of five characters: the pimp, the politician, the police, the pastor and the prostitute, reveals a society that pretends to be decent.

Meet Okyeame Kwame – The Ambitious Pimp: Not only is Okyeame Kwame a marvellous musician, but a very good actor. He plays the role of a pimp; a well-dressed, jealous and controlling man who does not joke with his business. He shows his versatility in a grand style.

Meet Ecow Smith – The Deceptive Politician: Actor Ecow Smith Asante brings into the show his glittering skills as he plays the role of a clumsy, impatient, unreasonable, and unreliable politician. He promises all but gives nothing. He acts so well that audience cannot help but to fall in love with his deceitful character.

Meet Adjetey Annan – The Aggressive Professor: Another actor who is triggering the versatile show this year is Adjetey Annan popularly called ‘Pusher’. He is seen in his elements this time as a smart and argumentative professor who does not believe in the existence of God. He does nothing but to blow the minds of the audience with his arty skills.

These actors among other great ones will be entertaining, informing as well as educating Ghanaians in a meticulous way.

On the music component, outstanding musicians such Samini, Bradez, Edem, EL, Adina, Keche, Praye Eugene (Choir Master), Yasmeen and many more will be thrilling us with amazing performances.

Date: 8th November at the National Theatre; Showing twice: 4 pm – 6 pm and 8 pm – 10 pm. Rate: GHC 100.
