Unemployed nurses to hit again if gov’t delays in getting them employed

nursesEnrolled/Community Health nurses who picketed at the presidency Monday are calling on the government to speed up the process of getting them gainfully employed.

Inasmuch as they are full of gratitude to the government, their demand has only been partially met.

Spokesperson for the group Govena Tamim tells rawgist.com “our problem is partially resolved. We hope those in charge of the posting process will speed it up because just releasing the clearance is not the full solution”.

The nurses say they are watching and hoping that the government and the agencies involved do what they have to do in record time to ensure their problem is solved otherwise “we will still have to advise ourselves”.

“Although the Accra Police Commander arrested us, he was nice and spoke to us like his siblings and we believe he was just doing his job and we thank him” Tamim told rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi.
