Two Actuarial Scientists Make KNUST Proud

knustTwo KNUST students from the Actuarial Science department have put the school on the map as they went to Thames mead, London for the Spring Insight Programme for two weeks in April.

The insight training organized by Goldman Sachs seeks to give young motivated students the chance to study investment banking on a practical scale.

Having gone through a vigorous and highly competitive selection process, the two gentlemen, Kwamina Arthur and Abeiku Hagan are two in nine students who headed to London this year.

This is possibly the first time students in KNUST have qualified for such an opportunity. Usually, students from Ashesi University are the only Ghanaian students who have consistently featured in the Spring Insight program.

Kwamina Arthur in an interview said, the opportunity was humbling and very educative. He added that more openings of such nature should be made available for students so that they can take advantage of them.

Goldman Sachs, set up in 1869 has the culture of providing spring internship and summer internship opportunities for all students and graduates who are interested in investment banking.
