They insulted me, my mum & dad because I joined NDC-Dumelo

Ghanaian Movie star John Dumelo Sunday surfaced at the NDC’s campaign launch at Cape Coast with one mission-to extend an invitation to the youth of Ghana to join the NDC.

The young Actor who spoke Fante, explained that the NDC is a peaceful party and remains the only party that can move Ghana forward.

“Some people are promising you hope, the hope is happening already. So what are they coming to do? JM is already doing it all”, he said to the ecstatic NDC crowd at the Cape Coast stadium.

“When I decided to join the NDC, they insulted me, my mum, my dad and everybody around me. I didn’t really care because I knew I was with a good party”,he explained sadly and went ahead to extend an invitation to the youth of the New Patriotic Party to join the fold of the NDC in order to move Ghana forward.

President John Mahama also took his turn later to express his discomfort with the politics of insult that has become the order of the day as far as the largest opposition party is concerned. He recounted how the EC and the EC boss were being vilified unnecessarily and wondered why chiefs and celebrities who expressed positive sentiments about his government and his person received insults while it seems alright when the positive sentiments are coming in favor of the NPP.

The President explained that he will not be suckered in by the NPP especially since he has full knowledge of the trick they were employing that seeks to discredit the referee in preparation for defeat so they can make a case for their defeat afterwards.

President Mahama stated that he will remain committed to peace and ensure the EC gets all it needs to conduct a credible election that is also peaceful.
