Founder and leader of Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) Pastor Ransford Obeng has asked Ghanaians to pray for a fair, transparent and peaceful election as the country approaches her General Election.

“This year is crucial for Ghanaians because it’s an election year. Don’t wait till November but all should start praying for a fair, transparent and peaceful election” he stressed during a meeting with journalists in Kumasi.

He called on media personnel to be considerate in the kind of report they put out and be mindful of sustaining the peace of the country. He also warned the journalists against corrupt tendencies and allowing evil politicians to buy their conscience.

He also advised the citizenry to strive to protect the peace the country enjoys.

Pastor Ransford Obeng also used the opportunity presented by the meeting to comment on the debate on a new voters’ register. He believes everybody should have the opportunity to vote. He therefore believes that if the Electoral Commission’s proposal is what will ensure that, then so be it.

Pastor Obeng used the opportunity to pray for the journalists and also advise them on a variety of issues.
