Sir John is clean-Wiawso NPP

Contrary to false information that the Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission (FC), Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as ‘Sir John’ had allocated a land in the Western Region to a National Democratic Congress (NDC) timber merchant some Sefwi-Wiawso members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says nothing of the sort has happened.

Speaking to this reporter, two members of the Wiawso Constituency, Dickson Atta Solo and Thomas Atta Kofi said the man in question Mr T. Andrews is a known NPP member.

According to them, T. Andrews, owner of T. Andrews Enterprise is an NPP financier and a member of the party who has for about eight years worked to restore confidence of the inhabitants in the NPP.

The constituency members noted the contributions of the timber merchant who is known by the current regional minister, Dr Kwaku Afriyie largely contributed to the famous victory the NPP in the Western Region.

ALLEGATIONS:
The two alleged that the persons who instigated the false allegation had since apologized for their actions.

According to Thomas Atta, Papa Yaw, a known NPP worker who first started the allegation against Sir John had confessed to have been ill-informed about the personality of T.N Andrews.

Papa Yaw is alleged to have said since T.N Andrews had not been with the NPP for a long period after quitting the NDC and therefore he needed not be given such considerations of a land to extend his timber business.

However, following the information he had now received he realized Mr T.N Andrews deserved every support for his personal contribution to the NPP campaign during the 2016 electioneering period.

SUPPORT:
The Wiawso constituency, Thomas and Dickson mentioned are ready to give every person seeking to occupy a regional or national position an opportunity to campaign in the Sefwi area.

This, they confirmed will help to dispel the false impression that the constituency is aligning with a particular candidate for the General Secretary position.

According to them, they are aware that Mr Kwado Owusu Afriyie is seeking to contest for the General Secretary of the NPP, adding that they as a party will welcome anyone who also publicly declares an intention to contest same.

They therefore cautioned members of the Wiawso constituency to stay off the tangent of buying into conspiracy theories and vote buying schemes to dent the image of former National officers and current government appointees.
