My documentary will sack Amewu, Sir John et al-Yammin

Ghana News–Former Deputy Ashanti regional Minister; Joseph Yammin says he is working on a documentary that-Yawill lead to the sacking of people charged with the galamsey fight.

Speaking on Adom TV’s breakfast show Monday, Joseph Yammin stated that efforts so far to stop illegal mining has failed miserably and completely. This he says includes the acclaimed “Operation Vanguard”.

He says all that the government is doing is a ruse to protect a few NPP folks in the business at the expense of other Ghanaians.

Joseph Yammin who seem to have a lot of information on happenings within the mining sector within the Ashanti region revealed that he is tackling some issues through a documentary he is working on and expects to release soon.

He tells rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi that people are still allowed to mine with the excuse that they are doing land reclamation. “What they are doing is that, they give you a letter authorizing you to do land reclamation in the forest and on lands that have not been mined. How do you reclaim lands that have not been mined”, he queried and added that they are only doing this in forests.

Below is an example of such reclamation letters assigned people as alleged by Mr. Yammin:

“When I release my documentary, people like John Peter Amewu, Sir John and others will be fired”, he said.
