Old Students of Prempeh College are unhappy with activities ongoing around the school. These activities are primarily that of encroachers on the school’s lands and also nuisance posed by traders around the school.

The Old students of the school, during an event held at the Royal Lamerta Hotel in Kumasi to mark their 20 years of leaving the school called for immediate action.

Secretary to the Millennium Amanfo group; Yaw Adu Gyamfi who spoke with rawgist.com’s Joana Somiah asked that the traders doing business around the school leave with immediate effect. He explained that regulations within the Ghana Education Service forbade such activities that will distract the students from concentrating fully on their academic pursuits.

“A serene environment for academic work should not co-exist with such activities” , he stressed.

Mr Adu Gyamfi also warned those currently encroaching on the school’s lands to vacate since they are ready to take them on and deal with them according to law.

He revealed that they are collaborating with the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly and KMA to evict those perpetrating unscrupulous activities around the school. He also hinted that efforts are underway to landscape the school to provide a serene and beautiful environment for the students to study.

To crown it all, he said there are fund raising activities in the offing to help push students of Prempeh College to higher laurels.
