A subsidiary of the Mohinani Group of Companies, Poly tank Ghana Limited on Tuesday morning presented 23 pieces of mini tanks to the Asokwa Municipal Assembly (ASKMA).
The gesture was to help the Assembly deal with a water challenge it is facing due to the destruction of some pipelines by a road contractor.
Presenting the mini tanks to the Assembly, Alex Bilson, Sales Executive of Poly Tank Limited said the company decided to support the Municipality deal with the current water challenge it is facing.
According to him, water is life and the scarcity of same makes life unbearable for people and hence the decision by Poly Tank to donate the 23 mini tanks to help some households store water.
‘’We at Poly Tank having assessed the situation of some residents in the municipality due to the destruction of their pipelines decided to help out with these mini-tanks so they can store water for their households’’, Mr Bilson explained.
Taking delivery of the mini-tanks on behalf of the Asokwa Assembly, Madam Adwoa Konadu Yiadom Assistant Coordinating Director thanked Poly Tank for the gesture.
She noted that the tanks will help those facing water difficulties to have some receptacles to store water.
She explained that residents could use the mini tanks to collect water which is freely supplied by the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) to the distressed areas.
