Nana Yaw Wiredu is visionary-Maxwell Kofi Jumah

Maxwell Kofi Jumah; MD of GIHOC

The Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries and a resident of Asokwa Municipality, Chief Maxwell Kofi Jumah has commended the assembly man for Ahensan-Estate, Nana Yaw Wiredu for being visionary and hard-working.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper over the weekend, Mr Jumah said the assembly man had exemplified good leadership in his first three terms.

According to the former Mayor and MP for Asokwa, Nana Yaw Wiredu deserves a renewal of his mandate so that he can finish projects he has commenced for the community and people of Ahensan Estate.

Describing the Assembly man as visionary, Chief Jumah noted that few assembly men go all out to seek for the welfare of their residents, adding that Nana Yaw has shown leadership and fought for the best for his community.

‘’If I have to mention any assembly man in Ghana that is visionary and knows his job well I will say Nana Yaw Wiredu will rank among the best in the country’’, Chief Jumah posited.

PROJECTS:

Listing some of the projects he has seen in Ahensan Estate, Chief Jumah said projects that should have been done by MPs have been commenced by Nana Yaw Wiredu.

Ahensan Estate, the former Kumasi Mayor can boast of footbridges, mechanized borehole, properly demarcated refuse dumping site as well as clinics.

Most of these projects, the two-time MP said were initiated or lobbied for the community by the Assembly man.

He said it was not surprising that every area within the Ahensan Estate community has a fair share of basic amenities and projects.

‘’Nana Yaw Wiredu has always led in the lobbying of projects for Ahensan Estate since my days as MP and Mayor for Kumasi and I am not surprised development projects are clearly seen in his community including a Police Post which is about to be commissioned’’, the GIHOC MD noted.

SANITATION:

Touching on sanitation, the former MP said there hasn’t been any clean up exercise in Asokwa that Nana Yaw was not part of.

He described the assembly man as a sanitation maniac and called on all other assembly members to follow Nana Yaw Wiredu’s example.

In this modern day and age, the GIHOC MD said any assembly man that allows filth and refuse to engulf his area is not worth supporting.

‘’I will urge all assembly members seeking to enter the Asokwa Municipal Assembly in the upcoming district level elections to prioritize sanitation and security issues as Nana Yaw Wiredu has been doing so that they could help build a prosperous and safe communities in Asokwa’’, Chief Jumah passionately stressed.
