A political Science lecturer with the Spiritan University; Dr. Kofi Owusu Yeboah has observed that the New Patriotic Party’s strength in opposition has dwindled significantly.
In a radio discussion hosted by Sir Richmond Antwi Boasiako on Royal 89.3FM, the lecturer opined that the NPP remains formidable enough to win the 2016 elections.
He beleives inasmuch as the NPP is able to elect leaders to represent the party on all levels, the party is formidable enough to pursue and win an election.
He looks back with euphoria at a point in the NPP’s history when the party had “vibrant faithfuls” like Dr.Kofi Konadu Apraku,Kwadwo Baah Wiredu,J.H.Mensah,Osafo Marfo
among others.
He believes that energy has dwindled greatly due to divisions within the NPP after the exit of former president J.A Kuffuor from office.
He however expressed hope of a more formidable NPP following Nana Addo’s press conference about the unification of the party after the Afoko—Agyepong crisis.
