New Patriotic Party calls on all its members to exercise caution ahead of Saturday’s elections

nppMembers of the New Patriotic Party have been cautioned to exercise restraint ahead of the election of a Flagbearer for the party on Saturday the 18th of October 2014.

According to the leadership of the party, Saturday’s event is preparatory grounds for the real battle in 2016 to free Ghanaians from the current economic hardship caused by the NDC-led Government.

Speaking during a press conference Wednesday ahead of this weekend’s event, the National Chairman of NPP, Paul Afoko called on any of the aspirants who emerges victorious to take it as a matter of priority to reach out to the losing candidates in order to foster unity in the party for the 2016 elections.

Meanwhile the General Secretary of the party Kwabena Adjei Agyepong has outlined the modalities for Saturday’s elections.

He emphasized the need for delegates to secretly adhere to secret balloting rule and warns that delegates who fail to respect this procedure would have their votes nullified.

In a related development National Women’s Organizer of NPP, has rubbished assertions that the party would come out of October 18 polls with a divided front.

Three contestants Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and Francis Addai Nimoh are vying to be chosen by over 1400 delegates of NPP to lead the party in the 2016 elections.

The election which has been decentralized would take place in 276 polling stations across the country in all the constituencies and at specially designated polling stations.
