NDC acquires 20-acre land for “Party school”

NDC1The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has completed negotiations for a 20-acre land meant for the establishment of an ideological school for the party, its’ national organiser has revealed.

According to Yaw Boateng, the party has completed payment for the land which is located at Oyarifa in the greater Accra region.

“We have acquired a 20 acre land at Oyarifa for our party school and work will begin soon,” Boateng Gyan told Asempa FM, Tuesday.

The General Secretary of the party Johnson Asiedu Nketiah first gave hint of the party school project in May this year.

In an interview with the media after a visit to the China Communist party school, Nketiah said “There is no academic training that qualifies somebody to operate as a political leader. It is against this background that certain political parties, mostly on the left side, have decided to fill this vacuum through the establishment of party schools.”

According to him, the party school will help the NDC “train our cadres, our student wing about how to go about the business of running the political party first and how to prepare our youth for leadership positions in the future.”
