MTN shows love to 30 X’mas babies in Ashanti, others around Ghana

MTN Ghana boxing day donated hampers to babies born on Christmas and boxing days.

The hampers which contained baby items were donated simultaneously across the country.

In the Ashanti region, 30 hampers were donated to mothers at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Mothers of babies who received the hampers were excited and full of gratitude for the gesture by MTN.

Midwives and Doctors on duty were equally excited about the donations.

Acting General manager for MTN’s Northern Business District; Adwoa Afrakoma Baah Obeng in an interview after the donations expressed joy at the opportunity to give back to the society. She explained that it was part of MTN’s Corporate Social Responsibility to show love to these kids. She added that though the activity is an annual event, the COVID-19 pandemic has made it even more worthwhile.

She revealed that the COVID-19 has been a great challenge but MTN customers have remained loyal to the brand and expressed gratitude to them.

The donation has been carried on annually for over a decade and MTN officials say it will continue into the future.
