A legal practitioner is calling on Ghanaians to be patient whiles the President and his team of government officials fix the country’s daunting power situation.
Evans Amankwah who spoke to rawgist.com says the President knows what he means when he talks of fixing the problem “but it may not happen overnight”.
“He doesn’t want to treat malaria with paracetamol otherwise, he would just be treating the symptoms of a deeper problem. Malaria is treated with a full course of Artesunate Amodiaquine. The same way he wants to treat the root cause of dumsor so that Ghanaians can enjoy a lasting solution”, he said in an interview with rawgist.com.
The issue of the unstable and sometimes non-existent power has taken centre stage in Ghanaian political and social discourse with many tongue-lashing the government over the situation.
Lawyer Evans Amankwah however urges Ghanaians to support the President as he believes politicization of the crisis has so far failed.
“Dumsor has occurred in both NDC and NPP administrations, it is now time for the nation to rally behind the leader and solve it devoid of unnecessary partisanship”, he told rawgist.com.
