KNUST gets first female Vice-Chancellor

Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson is the new Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology

Professor of Pharmacognosy; Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson is the new Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) effective 01 August, 2020.

Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson until her appointment, was the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University.

Her tenure stretches from  August 01, 2020 to July 31, 2024

A statement released by the university explained that “…the council of the university, at its 258th (special) meeting held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, upon the acceptance of the report of the Search Committee for the Appointment of Vice-Chancellor for the University” appointed Prof. Rita Dickson for the job.

She will go down in history as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the country’s premier Science and Technology University.
