KMA trains teachers in tree planting exercise

kojo-bonsuThe Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has trained teachers of Schools in Kumasi in a tree planting exercise.

The exercise forms part of the Assembly’s plans to restore the city’s past glory as the garden city of Ghana.

The Assembly about a month ago announced its intention to engage children in basic schools in a tree planting competition dubbed ‘Me and My Tree’.

Agricultural experts from the Forestry Research Institute of Ghana and the Council for Industrial Research trained the teachers at a workshop organized by the KMA.
