Workers at the VIP bus terminal in Kumasi as well as those around were horrified when snakes were found on board on of the buses Thursday afternoon.
The creatures, motionless at the time of their discovery, were about a meter long each.
Also in the bag with the snakes that appeared dead, were other items including a talisman, a nylon cloth and tubers of yam.
Onlookers stood afar off and peered at the fear-inducing scene.
Driver of the bus (bearing registration number GT 2584-16); Emmanuel Owusu recounted that he was sweeping the bus when he saw the bag lying close to the back seat. “I decided to pick it up but hesitated when I heard a hissing sound from the bag. I called another colleague who opened the bag and discovered its shocking contents”, he explained.
“I am completely shocked, this is the first time I have experienced this in my entire life. This is very mysterious”, He added.
