The Ashanti Regional police command is calling on the general public to assist them with information to prosecute a suspect arrested in a military uniform.
The police arrested a 35 year old Fiifi Medici for posing as an army officer with the rank of a major of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
According to the deputy Ashanti Regional police Commander, ACP Ampofo Doku, the suspect was arrested around Vienna night club upon a tip off. He said 20 Ghana cedis note suspected to be counterfeit was also found on the suspect during a search.
In a related development the police have arrested eight suspected arm robbers, the robbers were arrested after they have robbed traders on the Bomfah, Adumakase-kese road in the kwabre east district of the Ashanti Region.ACP Ampofo Doku gave details on the incident.
