Sonnie Badu advises Ghana to appreciate hard work of torchbearers

Ghana Entertainment News-Ghanaian Musician Dr. Sonnie Badu says the honor bestowed on him by the City of Albany is huge and should serve as a benchmark of encouragement for Ghanaian youth.

The Gospel Musician was honored with a Proclamation by the Common Council of the City of Albany.

“It came as an extreme surprise to me. I was not expecting it” he said and explained that “being the first African musician to receive such, this is huge”.

In an interview with Eli Kharis on the Buzz Segment of Rhythmz Live, Dr. Badu revealed how he has received exceptional honors from Atlanta, and other places including the Keys to the City of Brooklyn within the last two years.

He prayed that this will motivate the youth of Ghana and “let them know that if Dr. Sonnie Badu can do it, then they can do it too”.

He stated that Ghana is a “super gifted country and has the potential to “go far if Ghanaians realized the gifts we carry and honor those who are shining the light of Ghana”.

He also charged Ghanaian youth to “appreciate the hardwork of the people who have gone ahead of us, and make them a benchmark”.
